How to Recover Lost Photos from Your iPhone Without Backups

How do I recover lost photos on my iPhone7 without backup? I had to restore it but when I restored it, the last backup was August. I've lost a lot of photos, apps, contacts, messages and bookmarks.
We all cherish our photos because they give new form to important people, events, places or things in our life where they will always stay as they were when their images were taken while they themselves inevitably change. This is why it's such a tragedy when one's photos are accidentally deleted and he or she didn't make backups of them. For example: Restoring your iPhone's factory settings can end up deleting all the media you saved on your iPhone. If you are like a majority of iPhone owners, it's likely you didn't make any additional copiesmaking it harder to restore your precious photos.

Part 1: What Toolkits Can Recover Your Lost Photos Even Without Backups

There are pieces of open-source software that can help, but these are very complicated to use as they are designed like a command line tool that needs specialized knowledge to be used effectively. The best course of action is to use a simple but trusted and powerful professional data recovery tool that lets you restore your deleted photos with or without any backups.

One such tool is FoneDog iOS Data Recovery. An easy-to-use, all-inclusive data recovery program, iOS Data Recovery lets you recover and select deleted photos from your iPhone regardless whether you made backups of them to iCloud or iTunes and without restoring your mobile device.

There are several reasons why this tool is highly recommended for recovering photos that were accidentally deleted and weren’t backed up:
  • Supports a wide range of content apart from photos, including messages, videos, reminders, notes, calendar events, call history and contacts. (This means that no matter the kind of photos you want to retrieve, whether Camera Roll, Photo Stream or Photo Library photos, you can get them back.)
  • Provides you with three ways to restore your deleted photos:
    • Directly from your iPhone even without any backups
    • Using the backups you made to iTunes
    • Using the backups you made to iCloud
  • Lets you preview your deleted photos as thumbnails and retrieve the one(s) you want to get back instead of all of them and without doing a full iCloud or iTunes restore, making the data recovery process much easier.
  • Features an easy-to-navigate user interface which ensures you can easily use the tool even if it’s your first time.
  • Supports all of the iPhone models, from the iPhone 4, iPhone 4s, iPhone 5, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c,  iPhone 6/6s (Plus) and the iPhone 7 (Plus).
  • Compatible with all of the iOS’ versions, from iOS 5 to iOS 10.
  • Works well with both Windows and Mac computers.

To avoid automatically syncing your data, avoid launching iTunes and the dr.fone toolkit simultaneously. You can ensure this by disabling iTunes’ automatic syncing feature by launching iTunes > Preferences > Devices and then checking ‘Prevent iPods, iPhones, and iPads from syncing automatically’.

Step #3: Choose the type of data you want to recover, and Scan your iPhone for your lost photos by clicking ‘Start Scan’.This will take a few minutes, depending on the amount of saved data.
Step #4: Once you see your media come up, click ‘Pause’ to stop the scanning process.

Step #5. Preview the data that will consist of both your existing and lost data and that will be displayed in categories.
Step #6: Select the deleted photos on your iPhone by swiping on the ‘Only display the deleted items’ option.
Step #7: Preview the files that come up by clicking the file type on the left side of the window.
A search box will appear on the top-right side where you can search for a specific file by typing a keyword in the search box.
Step #8. Retrieve your lost photos by putting a check mark in front of the box to select them and then click the ‘Recover’ button at the bottom-right side of the window. This saves them to your PC.

Part 3: How to Backup Your Photos on Your iPhone to iCloud and iTunes

While you’re now likely to be more careful with your photos, it’s better to save copies of them in iCloud or iTunes to avoid having to go through the same ordeal of restoring them if they accidentally get deleted again.

1. Step-by-step Guide to Backup Your Photos on Your iPhone to iCloud

Step #1: On your iPhone, open ‘Settings’ and select ‘iCloud’.
Step #2: Click ‘Backup’ at the end of the menu.
Step #3: Go to ‘iCloud Backup Settings’ and enable ‘iCloud Backup’.
This immediately displays a message that iTunes won’t back up your data as long as the iCloud Backup option is enabled.
When you sync or connect to a network, iCloud backs up all the data saved on your iPhone.
For your photos to get virtually instantaneously backed up to iCloud, enable the ‘Backup Now’ option in iCloud’s backup main screen. This backs up your photos that weren’t stored before.

2. Step-by-step Guide to Backup Your Photos Using iTunes

Step #1: Launch iTunes, connect your iPhone to your computer.

Step #2: Select your device and right click on your iPhone on the device and choose the ‘Backup’ command.

Step #3
: Then you will go to the summary tab and click the large Back Up Now button as shown in the middle of the window. Next, Click the Sync button at the bottom right of the window. The backing up progress window shows.
iTunes can backup all of your data automatically and regularly. Check whether you have accidentally disabled this feature on your iPhone. If you have, enable it to enjoy the convenience it provides.
If you choose iCloud over iTunes to back up your photos, know that you can store only up to 5GB of data to iCloud. But you can do so anytime on your account as long as you have access to a stable and reliable internet connection.

How to Recover Lost Notes on Your iPhone 7

Hello, I use my notes on my phone all the time.   Yesterday I synced my phone again to erase some songs.   A couple hours later I look at my phone notes and there weren't any!   I don't know if they were erased in the sync or when I wasn't looking at my phone and accidentally deleted them all at once or what.??     They were there for months now there gone.   But is there any way to get them back?   I have hundreds of important notes in there that I need.  Please Help
The iPhone Notes app is one of the most helpful applications on the iOS Device.  It is also one of the most widely used applications there is, mainly because of its multiple purposes. We use Notes to remind us of upcoming deadlines, appointments, and schedules. We can also use it to write a shopping list. You can also use it to create password-locked notes so you can be the only one to access them. Notes can also be used for drawing and sketching, as well as keeping a personal diary. Notes is indeed a very handy and reliable app.
A lot of the data people input into the Notes app are often personal and most of the time they contain a lot of important information. It can be quite the inconvenience to lose some of these notes.
A lot of times users search the internet for ways on how to recover these deleted notes. Users turn to the internet to ask questions like "How do I recover deleted notes?" or "How to recover lost notes?" Fortunately for them, more recent versions of the Notes app enable you to an ‘undelete' process, this ‘undelete' process allows you to restore these deleted notes to your iPhone, although this only works within a limited amount of time.
This situation is actually quite a common problem amongst iOS users. Loss of data, like these notes, can be a most irritating problem. Most especially if you do not have a backup of these files. This can be a worse problem since a lot of times we keep a ton of important and personal information on these notes. So, how do you recover these deleted notes? Is there even such a way? Never fret and don't lose hope, here we will show you some tips as to how you can recover these notes, with or without backup in a quick and reliable way.

First Method: Recover Your Lost Notes From The "Recently Deleted " Folder

Note: This can only work in more recent versions of the app and does not work in all situations.
If you ever delete a note on your iOS device, it actually gets sent to a folder in the app called ‘Recently Deleted'. It will not be erased permanently unless you delete it in the folder. In order for you to recover notes from the ‘Recently Deleted' folder, do the following directions.
  1. Open the Notes application on your iOS device.
  2. Select the ‘Back' arrow to get into folder view.
  3. Open the folder labeled ‘Recently Deleted'
  4. Select the yellow ‘Edit' button.
  5. Select the note or notes that you want to retrieve.
  6. Select the ‘Move to…' button located at the bottom left of the screen.
  7. Select the ‘Notes' folder.
  8. The deleted note is now successfully recovered and will now be back to the Notes folder along with the rest.
There is also a chance that you will not be able to find these deleted notes. Whenever you delete a note from an iPhone or iPad Note application, the system will only remove the Note from the iDevice for a limited amount of time (30 days). If you can't find them then there are two main reasons.
  1. The note has already been deleted from the ‘Recently Deleted' folder.
  2. The note has been deleted more than 30 days ago. iOS automatically deletes notes that have been deleted beyond this time frame.
Usually, this process would work if you would follow the suggestions above. It can restore the deleted records back to the application, which may avoid losing an important note that you might have commanded to the trash by accident. If not, then the best choice would be to the method below.

Second Method: Use A Data Recovery Software to Recover Deleted Notes

If the method given above would not suffice then the best choice would be to use a third-party application. There are a lot of data recovery software you can find on the market. How do I Recover Deleted Text Messages from Samsung Galaxy S7 edge?

I deleted an important text message on my Galaxy S7 edge by accident. How can I get it back? Is there any way to recover deleted text messages? It is very important for me. Please help me!!
Samsung is definitely one of the most widely-known and distributed Android smartphones in the whole world. If you don’t own one, you probably know someone who does. And even if you own one, you probably know how to navigate through the phone’s interface, features, and settings. This is the beauty and convenience that is the Android operating system—whichever Android phone you use, you can be sure that you would be able to navigate it quickly and easily. However, this very same convenience and user-friendliness leads to unintended, and sometimes clumsy, data loss, such as the loss of very important text messages!
According to Backblaze Inc., a data backup company who is keen on raising awareness on the importance of data backups, there are about 24% of computer owners who never backup their data. 25% make backups yearly, and this is only a little more people than those who never make backups. This data refers to backups for computers alone, but what about mobile phones? Well, if people don’t make backups of their data on computers, who can say that they make backups of their data on their mobile phones, right? Most people would think that it’s a hassle to do so, and many people can’t spare a few minutes up to an hour of their time to make sure that copies of important data are kept safe. You can click here to learn where are Photos and Videos Stored on  Galaxy S7 edge.
Text messages are just one kind of data that you might lose if you don’t back up your Samsung phone. Text messages can be lost in a number of ways, the most common of which are the following:

What Situation will Lead to Data Loss

1. When your smartphone crashes or becomes unresponsive

Who hasn’t had one of those moments when your Samsung smartphone crashed on you or has become unresponsive? Whether your smartphone has too little RAM, or you may have opened so many background apps, or your system encountered a failure, or you launched an Android root process or even an update that did not continue--all of these might lead to your smartphone crashing or becoming unresponsive. You would probably respond to this by turning off your phone and turning it back on or doing a hard reset of your phone. If you do this while you were in the middle of writing a new message or receiving one, there is a big chance that your message might be lost.

2. When you do a factory reset of your phone

This may be your option if your Samsung smartphone is giving you a hard time accessing apps, browsing the internet, and if it is performing slowly and poorly. Sometimes you might get so frustrated or are too impatient to have your phone working properly that you forget to make a backup of your data before performing a factory reset. This will erase your phone’s data, and that, of course, includes your text messages.

3. When you consciously or accidentally delete your messages

Whether you want to clear up space on your Samsung smartphone’s inbox and make your phone work faster, or whether you accidentally punched the “delete” button on a message or a conversation that you didn’t mean to remove on your phone, this is one of the most common ways of losing text messages. Blame it on your slow system, your loss of concentration or your fast fingers, you would probably be frustrated with yourself for deleting these important text messages.

What Happens to Messages that I Delete from My Android Smartphone or Tablet?

Messages that have been deleted are not automatically deleted from your Samsung smartphone’s system; it remains there as an inactive piece of information or data. This means that at this point, it is still possible to retrieve them. However, retrieving them is not necessarily a straightforward and easy process— for one, they can get be overwritten if you keep using your phone right after you deleted or lost a message. It is best to stop using your phone just after you lost your message so that you can prevent your system from replacing your deleted data with other data such as photos, videos or a new message. And of course, make sure you have a solution to retrieving your message at hand!

Can Deleted Text Messages be Restored on My Samsung Phone?

While it is not always possible to recover every deleted text message from your Samsung smartphone, it isn’t also impossible to try to retrieve some of them. Nowadays, there have been many programs developed to recover all kinds of data, and this includes your lost messages. Some of these programs are free and some would need to be purchased. If your text messages are of very high importance and you badly need to retrieve them, you might want to purchase a reliable and foolproof program. Another great feature of this application is you can also retrieve not only messages but also several kinds of files such as images, video, contact information, and calendar information via iTunes and iCloud backup. FoneDog will separate the files into categories so you can choose which type of file do you like to recover.
If you had saved something in iTunes or iCloud and then deleted it, don't worry. You can use FoneDog to actually select the specified text messages that you had deleted from iCloud and iTunes.  So, there is no need to recover all messages from iCloud. You can instead just select the particular text message that you had deleted from iCloud and FoneDog will retrieve it for you, in a few simple steps!
This powerful toolkit is a very helpful tool to cellphone users. Good thing, though, this tool is readily available for a small amount of payment. Now, you can access your long-lost files, without any troubles on your part!
